Meet the team

Clare Callery

Clare is our technological whizz, and when she is not busy learning about the latest technology, she is rubbing shoulders with the stars (She  met Alistair Campbell last week!). Clare was once described as ‘the student with the most work experience I have ever seen’ and we are very lucky to have her working with us in the Ptarmigan academy. We don’t know how she finds the time, but Clare also works at Wolfstar PR.

Clare is always posting exciting bits and bobs on Twitter, catch her at www.twitter.com/claresiobhancallery

Adam Burns

Adam is the poster boy of the Ptarmigan academy, one time contender on the Weakest link and second year student at Leeds Metropolitan Unversity. Adam has been busy over the last two years, completing work experience with many different agencies and was one of the bright minds behind the counselling campaign ‘Big Boys Don’t cry’. He has been heavily involved in the students union, and is currently working for ‘Behind the Spin’

Katherine Hassleby

Katherine has been heavily involved in charity work over the last two years, and has been to Copenhagen and Reading festival as an ‘Activista’ on behalf of Action Aid. Katherine also delivered a petition to Gordon Brown to ‘free the hungry billion’, which she had personally travelled round the North of Englands Universities to get signatures for. She was also responsible for co-hosting a night in Leeds to support the campaign and raise awareness of Action Aid and what they were doing. Katherine is currently working with Steph for SSE Yorkshire to help raise awareness of their students.

Katherine isn’t a Twitterite, but can be emailed at khasselby88@hotmail.co.uk

Lois Ackerley

Lois has been busy  securing work placements with different organisations, and has been lucky enough to work in both the Middlesbrough council PR team, and the Cleveland police PR team which has provided her with a strong knowledge of local government workings and good liaising skills. Lois has also been working with countless musicians this year, not only buffing up on her musical talent – but doing PR as well. Clever girl!
